- Will we be able to pay in euros or only in Macedonian Denar?
- In the jamboree, you can only pay in Macedonian Denar. There are ATMs in Krushevo, but there may be withdrawal fees depending on your bank. It’s up to you to check. We advise you to exchange money in Skopje, if you have the opportunity. We can organize cash exchanges on certain days of the jamboree. Please go to the info desk on site for details.
- Be careful not to exchange money at the airport, as rates are higher!
- Do we have to bring our own dishes, or will everything be provided on site?
- Dishes will be provided on site, but we encourage you to bring your own water bottle.
- Are the plugs compatible with French chargers, or do I need an adapter?
- The sockets are type C, universal in Europe. No adapter required for Macedonia.
- Are there any washing facilities?
- There will be sinks for this purpose. Remember to bring your own washing liquid.
- What kind of tents will the jamboree have?
- There are two types of tent: 3-person tent and 5-person tent
- You’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag and mat, as there are no camp beds.
- Will there be Wi-Fi on site?
- How will meals and cooking be organized on the Jamboree?
- There will be no need to prepare meals, a team will take care of them.
- Breakfast: 7am – 9am (pastries, cereals, bread)
- Lunch: 1pm – 4pm (sandwiches)
- Dinner: 6pm – 8pm (hot meals)
- For snacks, there’s always fruit available and a place to buy cereal bars,… for example.
- Can I rent a tent on site?
- Yes, but you must reserve it in advance by sending an e-mail to : smotra@scout.org.mk
- How much does it cost to rent a tent ?
- €5 for 3-person tent per night per person
- For participants, what’s planned for the International Day?
- Traditional activities, among others, are planned for the day. It’s up to you to decide if you want to bring something to represent your culture. (Clothing, Instruments, Food…)
- This will be the day for all Jamboree participants to gather together.
- How can we get local produce to cook our own meals?
- There are supermarkets in Kruchevo (20min walk from the camp) to buy what you need.
- How are the workshops going? Do the participants choose for themselves?
- You’ll be divided by Sub-camp for all activities, by day you’ll be able to see directly with your leaders which workshops you’re most interested in.
- How to get from Skopje to Krusevo?
- Transport between Skopje and the camp in Krushevo is organized by our team.
- For people arriving in Skopje before July 12, you must arrange your own accommodation in Skopje before the 12. A bus will leave Skopje Centre for the camp on July 12.
- For those arriving at the airport on July 12, a bus will leave directly from the airport. More precise information will be communicated shortly.
- If you wish to come to Krushevo by yourself. You will need to take a train or bus from the Bus/Train Station (At the same place) which will take you from Skopje to Prilep. Then take a bus from Prilep to Krushevo.
